First and foremost, I am an Animal Lover. I have had a passion for animals since I was a kid, catching lizards in my backyard and giving baths to the local strays. Growing up on a farm, I worked with all types of animals; horses, cattle, pigs, poultry, dogs, cats, snakes, lizards, and rodents. I have spent a fair share of time around animals all of my life.
While earning a BA in Anthropology with a Minor in Environmental Studies and a Conservation Biology Certificate from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, the emphasis of my studies was ecological anthropology, with a focus on human/animal relationships. During college, I started Urban Zoo Animal Care and Pet Sitting. After college, I worked in many different fields of animal care. This experience, along with my personal experience fostering rescue dogs (I have a big soft spot for rescue pitbulls) and other rescue animals, convinced me to seek a certification in Dog Training from the Animal Behavior College in 2018. I was mentored through my certification by Tracy Prichard of Fido F.I.T. who taught me how to make training fun and individualized.
I believe in Balanced Dog Training and I know that it's not just the dog that needs some help learning new habits. Me and my team are here to help you and your pooch, no matter the situation. We are here to create an individualized training plan based on your particular family's needs and to break that training plan down into something that you can easily understand and incorporate into your daily routine. We are here to help you establish a routine and introduce clear expectations and consistent rewards and consequences for your dog. We are here to help you foster a strong relationship of trust between you and your best friend. We are here to bring peace back into your household!
